Increased Suicide Rates for Seniors
Keep a watchful eye on known seniors who live alone. They are at increased risk of social isolation. America's Health Rankings reports a 12% increase in suicide rates for seniors from 2014-2018. On the brighter side, America's Health Rankings conducts an annual assessment to determine the healthiest states for seniors based on 34 key indicators such as "health, including measures of behavior, community and environment, policy, clinical care and health outcomes." In order, here are the best states to live in 1) Utah, 2) Hawaii, 3) New Hampshire, 4)Minnesota, and 5) Colorado.
